From new EVs to scoops on upcoming products, this week saw it all
This week, as usual, was an action-packed one in the two-wheeler space. It started with launches and teasers and it ended with… launches and teasers. So here’s a quick lowdown of the six juiciest stories of the week:
Three New Two-wheelers Incoming From Honda
Atsushi Ogata, President, MD and CEO of Honda Two-wheeler India, revealed the Japanese marque’s plans for the Indian market for the near future and they sound exciting!
He revealed that there’s not only a 125cc scooter, but also two new bikes in the pipeline as well.
Kawasaki News
Kawasaki updated the ZX-10R for 2022 and at Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the bike continues to be the most affordable litre-class supersport offering in the country. The company has a new bike in store for India too, as it has teased the launch of a new retro bike in India.
After the Versys 650, the Japanese bikemaker has plans to update two more bikes from its 650cc lineup: the Ninja 650 and the Z650. Both the bikes will get a small yet crucial update. Check it out here.
Hop Oxo Launched In India
The Indian electric motorcycle space saw a new entrant this week as Hop Electric Mobility finally launched the Hop Oxo in India. The e-bike boasts a claimed range of 150km and a host of connectivity features, but looks too similar to one particular Yamaha bike. Check it out through 10 images.
We also pit it against the ‘OG’ e-bike, the Revolt RV400, through images. Here’s how that went.
Updated KTM Dukes Reach Dealerships
Days after being updated with new colours, the 2022 KTM Dukes have already reached dealerships. The KTM 390 Duke looks particularly stunning in our opinion, and all of this comes without a price hike.
Royal Enfield News
Is it even an eventful week if Royal Enfield bikes’ sightings aren’t a part of it? This week was no different as we first got to see the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 once again, and this time in a touring-friendly avatar.
It only got better as we got an exclusive look at the Super Meteor 650 as well. The bike looks production-ready, and we hope it launches soon!
TVS Apaches Updated
After what we thought might be the TVS Apache RR 310 RP, in a surprise move, TVS chose to update the RTR 160 2V and RTR 180 instead. In what comes as a much-needed overhaul, the bikes now get more power, better tech and tyres. You can read about the exact differences between the new RTR 160 2V and its predecessor here.
