The Motrac MV-900 Demon Knight is an 871cc performance-oriented cruiser
The Ducati Diavel is well known for defining the performance-oriented cruiser segment. Its iconic styling, backed by the potent L-twin engine, made it a legendary cruiser that can munch miles effortlessly and handle (almost) like a superbike. Chinese manufacturer Motrac has an 871cc Ducati Diavel lookalike, albeit with a ridiculously fat rear tyre. Enter the Motrac MV-900... wait for it… Demon Knight. Come on, at least be a little more original with the name!
The Motrac MV-900 Demon Knight is powered by an 871cc V-twin liquid-cooled engine, churning out 62.5PS at 6000rpm and 75Nm at 5000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission, linked to a chain drive. With a claimed top speed of 180kmph, a massive 22-litre fuel tank, a low seat and wide drag bars, this motorcycle should be perfect for long-distance rides.
The MV-900 employs an inverted front fork and a rather gaudy looking twin rear shock absorber setup, linked to an equally rudimentary box-section swingarm. This is in stark contrast to the beautiful single-sided swingarm with a monoshock in the real deal.
However, Motrac has made up for it by showing off what’s between the swingarm - a massive 360-section tubeless tyre wrapped on an 18-inch spoke wheel (optional setup). Even the soon-to-be-launched Benda LFC700 cruiser gets ‘only’ a 310-section rear rubber. Oddly though, the MV-900’s front wheel is a smaller 17-inch spoke unit with a 140-section tyre. The standard variant rolls on a 17-inch rear tubeless spoke wheel wrapped with a more sane 200-section rubber.

Braking is via twin petal discs up front with a set of proper radial calipers and a disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard. As expected, the lighting system is all-LED.
