The tourer will be the newest addition to the Chinese bikemaker’s 312cc motorcycle range in the UK

  • Zontes already offers a 310cc naked bike, sports tourer and adventure tourer.
  • It gets a 312cc parallel twin motor and weighs 168kg.
  • Gets electrically adjustable windscreen, LED lighting and a colour TFT instrument console.

Zontes VX310 312cc Tourer Revealed

Chinese bikemaker Zontes has officially revealed the VX310 tourer. Slated for the UK market, the VX310 will be sold alongside the Zontes R 310, X 310 and T 310. The new motorcycle appears to feature a new single-sided swingarm.

Chinese motorcycles are known to be feature packed and the VX310 does not disappoint. Despite being a 310cc motorcycle, it gets an electrically adjustable windscreen which if you ask us, seems like overkill. It also gets twin LED headlamps and LED turn indicators mounted on the radiator shroud Ducati XDiavel-style. The motorcycle gets a full set of panniers and a top box. The large fairing isn't for show either. It gets storage bins on either side.

It features a 312cc liquid-cooled parallel twin motor that puts out 35PS. That figure may seem paltry but then again the VX310 weighs just 168kg, so performance should be sprightly. While the VX310 appears to use the R 310’s frame, it gets a new single-sided swingarm. Suspension components include an upside down fork and a monoshock. Braking is via a large front disc and a rear disc with ABS.

Zontes VX310 312cc Tourer Revealed

The Zontes VX310 is expected to be launched in the UK sometime next year. It is expected to be priced around GBP 4,000 (Rs 3.88 lakh), on par with the rest of Zontes’ 310 range. Zontes did have plans to come to India after collaborating with an Indian entity under the name Aftek Zontes. They even made an appearance at the 2018 Auto Expo with motorcycles ranging from 110cc to 250cc. The collaboration appears to have fizzled out since then, so we do not expect the 310cc tourer to come to India anytime soon.
