Who owns Royal Enfield?

Royal Enfield is owned by Eicher Group, an Indian company known for making tractors and commercial vehicles. The brand was acquired by Eicher from Enfield India, which was making Royal Enfield bikes in Madras and exporting them to the UK and Europe. Today, Royal Enfield is completely Indian owned and has become a global sensation, thanks to its iconic retro and neo-retro lineup. The brand was revived by Siddhartha Lal, the son of Vikram Lal, former CEO and current Managing Director (MD) of Eicher Group.

Which Royal Enfield is best for long rides?

Royal Enfield has many different offerings in various segments; here’s a detailed breakdown of the bikes.

Almost all the bikes in Royal Enfield’s lineup can be used for touring and long rides. But we think the Himalayan 450 is the best touring bike out of them all. It is a proper ADV and it offers a relaxed and upright riding posture. The Himalayan gets a powerful 450cc liquid-cooled engine, which offers enough power to handle both highway tours and off-roading. If you are someone who is looking for a touring bike then the Himalayan is the best Royal Enfield bike. Other alternatives you can go for include the Meteor 350 and the Super Meteor 650. Both these bikes are cruisers which can offer a comfortable riding experience.

Which Royal Enfield Has The Best Mileage?

For the best mileage, you’ll have to stick with the 350cc offerings. Here’s our list of Royal Enfield bikes that offer the best mileage.

  • In our real world mileage test, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was able to return 41.88kmpl in the city and 38.77kmpl on the highway. This makes it the most fuel-efficient bike in the Royal Enfield lineup, according to our tests.

  • The next on the list is the Royal Enfield Classic 350 which offers a mileage of 41.55kmpl in the city and 37.77kmpl on the highway

  • Lastly, we have the Hunter 350 which is also the cheapest Royal Enfield bike in India. It offered a real world mileage of 40.19kmpl in the city and 35.98kmpl on the highway in our tests.

Why is Royal Enfield famous?

Royal Enfield is famous because the brand has always been associated with a macho and premium appeal, thanks to the Bullet 350. The Bullet 350 is one bike which has a sentimental value to most riders as many remember going on rides with their fathers or grandfathers on the Bullet. With the Classic 350, Royal Enfield brought back that sense of nostalgia and love for retro in a modern package. Even today, the highest selling models in India are the Classic 350 and the Bullet 350.

Why are Royal Enfield bikes so heavy?

The Royal Enfield bikes are primarily heavy because of its metal body parts. While it’s still true for the modern Royal Enfield bikes, the brand has started using lighter components to keep the weight in check. However, the charm of most retro-styled RE bikes lies in the fact that they have all metal body parts – a fact that Royal Enfield enthusiasts like to be proud of.

Which is the best – Royal Enfield or Jawa?

Royal Enfield and Jawa offer entirely different riding experiences, depending on your preferences.. Royal Enfield bikes with their long-stroke engines offer a relaxed and torquey riding experience, whereas the Jawa bikes have a bit of aggressiveness to them. If you are someone who is looking for that relaxed and laid back riding experience then the Royal Enfield bikes make more sense. Otherwise, you are better off with Jawa bikes if you crave a bit of aggressive riding.

    Royal Enfield Hunter 350
    RE H 350 summary
It's a good bike overall, not too heavy for a royal Enfield at 181 kg, suspension is a little hard but over provides good stability, this bike is also made to cater to people with a relatively shorter height too, mileage is also pretty good at 36 km the price of 2 lakh this can be a really good deal.

    Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
Reliable Adventure Companion with few Limitation.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been my best choice I ever made as someone who loves adventure rides. The 450cc engine is strong and smooth, handling highways, rough trails, and steep climbs without an hardship. In my opinion, suspension is a blessing as it is the best thing about this bike which makes bumpy rides so much easier; the upright seating posture means I can ride for hours without having thought of taking break. The navigation on the digital console and the bright LED lights are thoughtful touches that make long rides more enjoyable. But, like any bike, it's not perfect. There are some voids like mileage, it's around 28-32 which could have been better, especially in city conditions. It's weight can be felt heavier when parking or maintaining balance in tough trails. Apart from that, at higher speed it starts vibrating which can be annoying on highways, however, this issue is common for this price range bikes. Even seat cushioning wise is not of better quality. Overall, I find this bike as best among it's competetors and it has all three comfort, power and reliability.
