Honda's new super touring bike Honda CTX1300 has been spied during its official promotional shoot. The detailed spy shots suggest that despite being a supersport touring bike the CTX1300 also has some cruiser traits.
Honda CTX1300 has been inspired by Honda CTX700. The seating position of the bike has been designed like a cruiser, for more comfortable ride. However, the cowling of the bike gives it a sportier look. The bike uses the same 1261cc, liquid-cooled, longitudinally mounted, 90 degree V-4 engine which also powers the Honda ST1300. In ST1300, the engine churns out a maximum power of 117bhp at 8,000rpm and 116.6Nm torque at 6,500rpm. However, the cmpany may change the figures by different tune-up of the engine.
In the pictures, bike features upside-down front forks, dual full-floating 310mm disc brakes at the front with CBS three-piston calipers and single 316mm disc brake at the rear with CBS three-piston caliper. The bike will be provided with two luggage boxes for taking along required stuffs on the tours. ABS will be the standard feature of the bike, while the company might offer cruise control as an optional feature with the bike.
