2016 Honda Road Safety Summer Camp Starts

Honda is back with its Road Safety Summer Camp 2016 that aims at providing road safety education in a way that appeals to the consciousness of young school children.

Aiming at educating young school children about road safety, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) has inaugurated the Road Safety Summer Camp 2016 in Delhi. Organised in association with Delhi Traffic Police at Honda’s Traffic Training Park at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, more than 100 excited children gathered on the first day of the camp. The camp will continue till June 10 and more than 1000 young aspirants have already registered for attending it.

The Road Safety Summer Camp 2016 was inaugurated by Alok Kumar Verma, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, and Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice president, sales and marketing, HMSI, in the presence of eminent dignitaries and senior officials.

Elaborating on this occasion, Yadvinder Singh Guleria said, “This summer, once again Honda in association with Delhi Traffic Police is organising the Road Safety Summer Camp in Delhi. ‘Safety with fun’ being our priority, children will have an opportunity to learn through new exciting educational games on Road Safety Awareness. Attending this camp shall make these kids, safety influencers in their families today and responsible adult road users of tomorrow.”

Honda Road Safety Camp will have an assortment of theoretical and practical experiences for kids. The specially designed fun engagements like Road Sign Intelligence Game (road sign identification exercise), Painting and Traffic Quiz contests will make the young ones aware of the basics of road safety.

High school students will be trained on the Honda Riding Trainer, a virtual riding simulator which helps people above 13 years of age to experience over 100 possible dangers on the road before actually riding on the road. Kids in the age group of 9-12 years will be trained on Honda’s CRF 50 model, specially imported from Japan to help them understand the importance of safety riding. At the end of the camp, students will also be awarded a certificate of completion.
