2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Officially Revealed; First Video Inside

Kawasaki unveiled 2016 Ninja ZX-10 at a press-con in Spain Yesterday. The company is planning to bring this monster to the Indian roads as a CBU soon.
Kawasaki has officially revealed its 2016 ZX-10R, which is likely to get much more upgrades than a facelift. According to the company officials, team WSBK has given a lot of inputs to make it as advanced as possible. Though, the upcoming bike is quite similar to the existing model, but the company has tried well on every aspect to make it stand-out from the rest.

This time, the company has worked on the styling and appeal of the bike. Although, not much changes have been made, but the difference is quite visible from its current-gen ZX-10R. The front fairing of the bike is fuller and has been completely re-designed. The seat of the bike is wider with more curves as compared to the sharp seats of existing variant.

Coming to the engine and performance, the bike is equipped with updated 998cc inline-four-cylinder engine. The upcoming model will produce similar 200bhp of power, but the torque has been increased marginally to 113.5Nm. The cylinder heads in the bike now allow more direct access for air due to new angles of intake ports. The polished exhaust ports, titanium exhaust valves and a new cam profile helps the 2016 Ninja ZX-10R to generate more power at high speeds.

The chassis of the bike now gets a slightly tweaked frame, a longer swingarm to improve the handling without adding too much weight. Also, it has used a brand new Showa Balance Free front suspension, which is developed with Showa in WSBK. Brembo braking system has been given which is used in Ninja H2R as well.

We can expect the new 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R to be showcased at the upcoming EICMA show. The good news is India Kawasaki Motors will bring this powerful machine to the country via CBU (Completely Built Unit). The bike is expected to be priced a bit higher to its predecessor.
