2017 Suzuki SV650 Showcased with 100+ New Refreshed Components at EICMA 2015

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki has revealed the 2017 Suzuki SV650 at the 2015 EICMA in Milan. This bike is the 3rd generation of SV series and the company is claiming it to be more powerful, adaptable and lighter than the present SV Gladius.

The bike is now equipped with 60 new hardware elements in the engine. The manufacturer has crafted strong and cleaner burning DOHC V-twin mill and this bike now features a powerful 645cc liquid-cooled, 90-degree V-twin engine that churns out 76 PS of power at 8500 rpm along with 64Nm of torque at 8100 rpm. The motor employs two spark plugs per cylinder and Dual Throttle Valve fuel injection, which is responsible for pouring out maximum horsepower along with a powerful torque even in the low-to-mid rpm range and gives a better fuel economy.

The company has redesigned the chassis with more than 70 new pieces and elements to make the bike lighter and slimmer. It has neatly crafted trellis frame which is constructed of thin steel material. The fuel tank of the all new SV650 is 2.5-inches narrower than the outgoing version, but still stores the same amount of fuel. The all new Suzuki SV650 stands with a slant silhouette and shows off the tough V-twin engine, with the new significant bodywork.

Talking about the more technical specification of the Suzuki SV650, the motor of this bike comprises of pistons which are designed for excellent rigidity and weight by using new resin-coated piston flank for less friction and immense strength. It is equipped with a two spark plugs per cylinder which are used to optimize the ignition system. It has a thin exhaust system that helps the machine to improve low- and mid-range power while the catalyzer keeps the emissions low. The bike will also sport an optional ABS and will be named as SV650A.

It will also sport the one-push, easy-start system that was first witnessed on the 2016 GSX-S1000. Further, it has low-rpm aided feature accolade the throttle-body integrated idle speed control to offer a more stable and powerful launch from a stop. The new SV650 also houses a multifunction backlit-adjustable LCD instrument console that shows gear position, digital speedometer, tachometer, and indicators for odometer, trip meter, average/instantaneous fuel consumption, driving range, clock, water temperature gauge and fuel gauge.

Speaking of the bike, Suzuki says, “The 2017 Suzuki SV650 delivers on two design goals: It brings back the concept of a simple and fun V-twin sports ride; and improved power and a lighter overall package while it restores the simple thrill of a V-twin.”
The all new Suzuki SV650 will be available in following three colors, i.e., Blue, red and white and it is supposed to available at selected dealerships across the country from March 2016.
