Honda has unveiled the 2020 edition of the popular PCX150 in Thailand. As part of the update, the Honda maxi-scooter gets four new colour options: white with red highlights, grey-black dual tone with gold-finished alloy wheels, black with red highlights, and red-black dual tone with gold-finished alloy wheels.
The 2020 Honda PCX150 now features a V-shaped strip on the front fascia that looks good. Of the four colour options, our favourite is the white and red combo which looks both sporty and classy. Apart from the new colours, no other changes have been made to the Honda scooter.
With its flowing lines, the PCX150 remains one of the most stylish maxi-scooters on sale. We particularly like the sleek LED headlight and the manner in which the turn indicators have been fused into the front fascia. In terms of features, the scooter gets keyless ignition, all-digital instrument console, USB charger, 28 litres of underseat storage, and Honda smart key.

The Honda PCX150 is powered by a 149cc fuel-injected single-cylinder motor producing 13.3PS and 14Nm of torque. As for underpinnings, the scooter rides on 14-inch wheels on either end with a single-channel ABS system offered as an option in Thailand. The double-cradle frame rests on a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. Seat height is low at 764mm, while fuel tank capacity is a generous 8 litres. The scooter weighs 129kg.

Honda has showcased the PCX150 twice in India, but it hasn’t given us any definite promise to bring the maxi-scooter here. Instead, it has been focussing on the Activa lineup. However, with scooter prices increasing due to the BS6 emission norms and the market maturing, we think it's high time that manufacturers launch maxi-scooters in India. We are hopeful that the Honda PCX150 will make its India debut next year in a price range of Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
