Suzuki has launched the 2022 DR150 in Colombia. And the only update it has received for 2022 is the new paint scheme. While the DR150 keeps the Colombian crowd entertained, we have the XPulse 200 4V in the same segment. So, let’s compare the two off-roaders in detailed images.
The 2022 Suzuki DR150 is pretty much barebones in terms of design. It’s a slim bike with rugged bodywork and seems ready to plough dirt. Not to mention, the halogen headlight and the tall front fender reminds us of the long gone Hero Impulse. As for the Hero XPulse, it too features minimal body panels and a tall stance. However, it gets an LED headlight with DRL and is topped by a transparent windscreen.

Suzuki has equipped it with an LCD instrument cluster and that’s all there is to the DR150 on the features front. Meanwhile, the Hero XPulse 200 4V gets a fully digital LCD with Bluetooth compatibility. It lets you access turn-by-turn navigation and phone calls as well.
Powering the Suzuki DR150 is a 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor with the output rated at 12.3PS and 12.7Nm. The Hero XPulse 200 4V, on the other hand, uses a larger, 199.6cc motor that dishes out 19.1PS and 17.35Nm.
Both bikes get a single-piece seat and an upswept exhaust.
The DR150 is sprung by a gaitered telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. The XPulse 200 4V too gets the same setup.
Braking hardware for the Suzuki DR150 consists of a front disc brake and a rear drum setup. The XPulse 200 uses front and rear discs with single-channel ABS.
The DR150 gets a 12.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 139kg. On the other hand, Hero has equipped the XPulse with a 13-litre tank and it tips the scales at 158kg.
Lastly, the Suzuki DR150 rolls on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoked wheel, whereas the XPulse 200 gets a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear spoked wheel.
In Colombia, the Suzuki DR150 is priced at COP 91,40,000 (approximately Rs 1.72 lakh, without taxes) and the Hero XPulse 200 4V retails for Rs 1,28,150 (ex-showroom Delhi). So, the XPulse 200 is a clear winner as it costs less and gets better off-road credentials and more features too.
