Quick Highlights:

  • Triumph Tiger 1200 Range Launched

  • Will be available in four variants: GT Pro, GT Explorer, Rally Pro and Rally Explorer

  • Prices start from Rs 19,38,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Triumph has launched the 2025 Tiger 1200 family and claims that the range is now even more refined than their previous generation, gets better comfort and ergonomics, better cornering ground clearance, reduced seat height with adjustable lowering suspension and new colours.

What's new?

Triumph has made changes to the crankshaft, alternator rotor and balancer which they claim increases smoothness and provides a better low rev torque delivery. Also is the addition of an updated clutch design which they claim will make the rider be able to shift into first gear more easily.

Triumph now also provides dampened handlebars and risers to the Explorer models which will result in lower vibrations at higher speeds and the risers will provide an upright riding posture.  Customers now also have the option of a lower seat. This drops the seat height by 20mm to 830mm in the GT Pro variant, and to 855mm in the Rally Pro variant. To reduce the seat height by 20mm further, Triumph now provides Active Preload Reduction feature across the 1200 range. This feature reduces the rear suspension preload and drops the ride height by pressing the home button on the switchgear. The seat design has also changed and become flatter, which provides a more space for the rider

The Tiger 1200 is available in four variants, with new colours. The Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Explorer is now available in a new Carnival Red colour scheme and gets the previous colour options of Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black. The Tiger 1200 Rally Pro and Rally Explorer gets a new Matt Sandstorm, and Jet Black colour options, and continues to get the Matt Khaki colour scheme.

What’s Unchanged?

The Triumph Tiger 1200 ranges continues to be powered by a 1160cc inline three liquid-cooled engine which makes 150PS at 9,000rpm and 130Nm at 7,000rpm and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Suspension includes Showa semi-active fork and a monoshock, 320mm twin disc brakes at the front and a 282mm single disc at the rear, both from Brembo.

Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro and Tiger 1200 GT Explorer

The Tiger 1200 GT range gets 19-inch front and 18-inch rear alloy wheels. The GT Pro variant gets a 20-litre fuel tank while the GT Explorer gets a 30-litre fuel tank capacity.

Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro and Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer

The Tiger 1200 Rally range gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels. The Rally Pro variant gets a 20-litre fuel tank while the Rally Explorer gets a 30-litre fuel tank capacity.

In terms of features, the Tiger 1200 range gets all the bells and whistles you will ever need. Some of them are a 7-inch TFT screen, riding modes, cornering ABS, switchable traction control and ABS, hill-hold assist, blind spot radar system (GT Explorer and Rally Explorer only), etc.

The Tiger 1200 range starts from Rs 19,38,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which will most likely be for the GT Pro variant. The prices of all the variants will be announced shortly.
