A Thai custom shop has turned the retro roadster into a menacing flat-tracker for the streets
Another day, another custom-built Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. The retro machine from Madras has caught the fancy of many custom bike builders since its launch and has been transformed into everything from a cruiser to a hardcore enduro scrambler. This time, Thailand-based Ok Easy Shop has turned the Interceptor into a street-tracker.
Like with any good street-tracker, the bike has been stripped of all the unnecessary bulk. It features shortened fenders, twin-barrel scrambler-style exhaust and a skinnier, flat seat. For better control and aesthetic appeal, this bike gets a taller handlebar. Another change on the bike are the high-walled tyres, adding to the visual appeal of the bike.
Instead of the classic British colours that the Interceptor comes in, the street-tracker is finished in matte black and is complimented by the contrasting yellow pinstripes. The shop has also gotten rid of the chrome finish on the engine and it now matches the matte black paint scheme. Replacing the halogen units of the Interceptor, the street tracker gets a compact LED headlight and tail light. The bike continues to run on the stock 648cc, parallel-twin engine developing 47.65PS and 52Nm.
Though the street tracker may be a far-fetched dream, Royal Enfield is coming out with a slew of interesting motorcycles this year, including the Roadster 650 and the Hunter 350.
