If rumours that are making rounds online are to be believed, Indian automaker TVS is planning to launch its Apache RTR 200 4V in Nepal by mid of this year. The motorcycle is already available in the Indian market and is currently competing with the likes of Bajaj’s Pulsar 200 NS and KTM’s Duke 200. The naked street fighter by TVS is expected to get the same response in the Himalayan nation as it got in the Indian market and expected to increase the sales of the company.
The Apache RTR 200 4V comes equipped with a 197.75cc air-cooled, single-cylinder SOCH, 4 valves engine that generates a maximum power of 20.5bhp at 8,500 rpm in carbureted variant, whereas the fuel injected variant churns out 21bhp at 8,5000 rpm. Both the variants have the same peak torque of 18.1Nm at 7,000 rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. If reports are to be believed, the automobile market of Nepal will only get the FI variant and the ABS will be standard with RLP (Rear wheel Lift-off Protection). Along with TVS Remora and Pirelli tyres for the Nepali market.
The Indian giant TVS recently launched the machine for the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 88,900 (ex- showroom, Delhi) for the carbureted variant and Rs. 1,07,000 (ex- showroom, Delhi) for the fuel-injected variant. Apache series has been successful for the company and with its timely new upgrades coming in, TVS is expected to hit a good sales chart. At the time of launch, the company had also bought its Victor model with a price tag of Rs. 49,490 (ex, showroom, Delhi).
