Ather Energy Begins Accepting Full Payment Up Front For 450X & 450 Plus

Customers in Bengaluru and Chennai will receive their scooters within 3 weeks of payment

After rolling out its assured buyback scheme for the 450X and 450 Plus, Ather has now begun accepting up-front payment for both scooters. Customers in Bangalore and Chennai can pay the full amount at the time of purchase: Rs 1,39,990 for the 450 Plus and Rs 1,59,000 for the 450X. Following this, they will receive their new scooter within 3 weeks.

In addition to this, Ather is also expanding its Ather Grid charging network, adding on to the 37 fast charging stations currently in Bengaluru and 13 in Chennai. It hopes to have over 135 charging stations across 11 cities by December, with expansion already planned into Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

The 450X is an evolution of Ather’s first scooter, the 450. It features a new 6kW, 26Nm Permanent Magnet Synchronous (PMS) motor that propels it to 40kmph in just 3.3 seconds. The ARAI tested range is 116km, but Ather claims real world figures of 85km in Eco mode and 70km in Ride mode.

Bengaluru, 31st October 2020:  The wait is finally over and two wheeler enthusiasts from Bengaluru and Chennai are only one step away from owning the quickest scooter in the 125cc segment in India- The Ather 450X. From 31st October, 2020, Ather Energy opens up the full payment window for the Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X and the scooters will be delivered within 3 weeks of payment.

Ather Energy has recently made big announcements for Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X as they introduced the first-of-its-kind Assured Buyback Program, with an assured buyback for Ather 450X at INR 85,000* and INR 70,000* for the Ather 450 Plus at the end of 3 years. The high reliability of the product will ensure that the scooters will command a strong value in the resale market. Moreover, the price of Ather 450 Plus has been slashed and now can be purchased at INR 139,990 (ex-showroom).

Ather Energy has 37 fast charging stations in Bengaluru and 13 in Chennai and will also be installing the same at newer locations in Chennai like VR Mall Chennai, Sangeetha Mobiles, Chai Kings, SPR Food Street, and Mash Resto Cafe. This phase of installations of Ather Grid will be live across 135+ locations by December 2020 in all the 11 cities that Ather Energy has announced its presence in. The charging infrastructure can be used by all electric vehicles - four wheelers & two wheelers to charge and will be free until March 2021. 

Unlike the Ather Energy owned experience Center in Bengaluru and Chennai, Ather Energy has partnered with reputed dealers like Kamal Motors, BU Bhandari and Kataria Group to set up experience centres, Ather Space in Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad respectively. 

Bookings for the rest of the cities will open up before Diwali.
