The company promises at least 30 fast-charging points across Mumbai by next year
Ather has put up 10 fast charging stations in strategic locations across Mumbai, including Linking Road, Goregaon, Andheri and Fort. The company aims to set up an additional 20 fast charging stations by the end of next year. From a broader point of view, Ather Energy has 128 public fast-charging points set up across 18 cities in India.
More interestingly, its entire fast charging network is accessible to all electric two-wheelers and electric four-wheelers free of charge till September 2021. All you need to access these charging points is the company's Ather Grid app which allows you to locate and check the availability of the nearest charging stations in real-time.
Here’s a list of the charging points set up in Mumbai:
The scooter manufacturer has partnered with Park Plus to set up EV locations in Mumbai. Park Plus is essentially a smart parking solutions brand that allows users to locate parking, book slots and pay digitally. It's looking to collaborate with like-minded companies which can offer easy parking and charging accessibility to EV owners, thereby curbing range anxiety and promoting adoption of electric vehicles in Mumbai.

So far, Ather operates across 10 cities but has plans of adding 15 more to the list, starting withCoimbatore, Trichy and Kozhikode. Ather says these experience centres will be up and running by next month and the rest of the cities will follow in the coming months. Ather says it will install at least 5-6 charging points before starting deliveries in each city.
The brand will make its presence felt across a total of 40 cities by December 2021. Exports are also on the cards starting with Europe and Latin America.
Ather’s future vision is to make EVs more accessible to customers and quash any qualms surrounding range anxiety. Its plan for a comprehensive charging infrastructure should help the company do just that. Advancements in battery technology, on the other hand, should make EVs more affordable in the near future.
