Select dealerships across India have reopened as per government safety guidelines
Bajaj and KTM dealerships have started resuming operations across several parts of India thanks to lockdown relaxations post May 4. All dealerships will adhere to government-mandated safety and health protocols for the safety of customers and dealer staff.
The company says it will take all the necessary steps to ensure social distancing and general hygiene. This includes sanitising the entire showroom before it restarts, making sure employees follow social distancing protocols, and mandatory thermal screening of customers and employees as well as tracking their health on a daily basis.
Both Bajaj and KTM had previously extended support to all customers whose free services and warranty expire in March, April or May 2020. The brands will continue to offer these services until June 30.
The commencement of dealer operations across the country will hopefully help their financial situation. While Bajaj and KTM have resumed dealer operations, manufacturers like Piaggio, Hero MotoCorp, TVS and Royal Enfield have restarted production at their respective plants. Expect Bajaj to make a formal announcement in this matter within the next couple of days.
