Bajaj Pulsar 250, Pulsar 250F India Launch Timeline Confirmed

Bajaj Auto’s Managing Director, Rajiv Bajaj, has confirmed that it will launch the biggest Pulsar yet in November, on the Pulsar’s 20th anniversary

• The Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 were launched in November 2001.
• Bajaj is likely to launch both the Pulsar 250 and Pulsar 250F on the sub-brand’s 20th anniversary. 
• It features a redesigned bodywork, all-new chassis with an all-new 250cc air-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine.
• Expect both bikes to be priced pretty competitively.

Bajaj Auto’s Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj has confirmed the all-new Pulsar 250 will be launched on the 20th anniversary of the Pulsar brand in November. The Pune-based bikemaker will likely launch both the naked Pulsar 250 and the semi-faired Pulsar 250F at the same time. Expect them to be priced pretty competitively, with the Pulsar 250F possibly undercutting the Pulsar 220F (which is priced at Rs 1.32 lakh).

Speaking to a media outlet, Rajiv said that the launch of the all-new Pulsar platform will start with the biggest Pulsar yet in November, on the Pulsar sub-brand’s 20th anniversary. He also added that over the next 12 months, the company will launch smaller-engined versions one by one. Going by what Rajiv has said, expect smaller-engined derivations of the Pulsar 250, possibly in the 125cc, 150cc, and 200cc space to be launched over the course of a year from November 2021.

In parallel, the Bajaj Pulsar 250 was recently spotted at Raigad, Maharashtra. The test mules feature a LED projector headlamp with DRLs up top. It bears an uncanny resemblance to the Yamaha FZ25’s headlamp unit. The fuel tank extensions are reminiscent of the Pulsar NS200, but they are slightly longer. The motorcycle features a split-seat setup and a single-piece handlebar with an upright riding stance. Rounding off the centralised mass design is the stubby exhaust.

The alloy wheel design, disc brakes, front telescopic fork, and rear monoshock are likely to be carried over from the Bajaj Pulsar NS200/ RS200. While the Pulsar 250F is likely to be pegged at around Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), expect the naked Pulsar 250 to be priced at around Rs 8,000-Rs 10,000 less than the semi-faired bike. It will compete against the Yamaha FZ25, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
