The C 400 GT will be India’s most radical-looking, feature-packed, and expensive maxi-scooter
BMW, which has one of the biggest fleets of premium BS6 offerings in India, is all set to up the ante by launching the C 400 GT maxi-scooter in India. The Bavarian brand has been teasing its upcoming offering on social media.
The C 400 GT was recently updated to meet Euro 5 norms, making it fit for India too. In its Euro 5 avatar, the 350cc single-cylinder motor puts out a healthy 34.5PS and 35Nm, which is surprisingly more than the brand's highest-selling motorcycle, the BMW G 310 R.
This meaty powertrain is complemented by an extensive list of features, including a TFT dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity, all-LED lighting, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), ride-by-wire, keyless ignition, and dual-channel ABS.

Aimed at urban mobility, the C 400 GT is ergonomically sound too. It gets a low seat height of just 775mm (5mm lower than the Suzuki Burgman Street) as well as broad rider and pillion seats for sofa-like riding comfort.
All this is topped off by the C 400 GT’s premium and aggressive design with dual inverted headlamps, a tall visor, glossy paint, and dedicated C 400 GT graphics.
We expect the C 400 GT to be launched in India next month with prices starting from Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom). While it sounds exorbitant, with no direct rival, we should see a handful of C 400 GTs on the road. Let’s hope this inspires Honda to bring the Forza 350 to India.
