If the G 310 GS seems like an expensive proposition for you, here’s what you can buy instead

Last year, BMW Motorrad entered the entry-level adventure tourer segment with the G 310 GS. At Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it is one of the most premium adventure tourers out there. So the question here is, should you shell out that sort of moolah or you are better off with something more affordable? We get you the answer.

Benelli 302R:

If you are not into adventure tourers and a fully faired motorcycle is what you crave for, you could opt for the Benelli 302R. The motorcycle recently got a massive price cut of Rs 60,000 and is now priced at Rs 3.1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes this deal quite tempting. Despite having a smaller 300cc engine the 302R puts out 39PS of power, which is 5PS more than the Beemer. Also, the twin-cylinder motor makes a sweet sound that you would never get bored of!

Benelli TNT 300:

Another Benelli? Yes. Apart from the 302R, the company had also slashed the price of the TNT 300 by Rs 51,000, and it now costs Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Its muscular stance and throaty exhaust note is enough for anyone to sit up and take notice. Also, if you feel the sporty riding stance of the Benelli 302R is not up your alley, the TNT 300 is a good alternative.

Kawasaki Ninja 300:

The Ninja 300 is easily one of the most popular motorcycles in this list. And at Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it is the most affordable Kawasaki bike you can buy right now! Despite its age, the Ninja 300 still remains one of the best supersports that you can buy and additionally, you get the refinement of the twin-cylinder motor along with bragging rights of the Kawasaki badge.

BMW G 310 R:

If you still want to join the BMW bandwagon, but can’t really afford the G 310 GS, then you could go for its roadster variant, the G 310 R. Apart from the suspension setup, both the motorcycles share the same underpinnings and are powered by the same 313cc powerplant. So if you go for the G 310 R, you could save yourself around Rs 50,000, which you can use either on accessories or on a long road trip. The choice is yours.
