BMW Motorrad to launch F650 GS in India

BMW Motorrad, the German auto biggie, is all ready to spawn its adventurous motorcycle, BMW F650 GS in the Indian automotive Industry. The mean machine is expected to hit country’s shores by the end of May 2012. BMW F650 GS is likely to be priced under Rs. 10 lakh. BMW F650 GS will house a powerful 798cc parallel twin engine that is capable of developing 71 BHP of hefty power at 7000 RPM and 75 NM of top torque at 4500 RPM. The engine of Street-fighter is coupled with six speed manual transmission gearbox and is capable of attaining a top speed of about 185 km/h.
The on-road off-road mean machine is perfect blend of power and style, and best for Indian road conditions. The F650 GS is a tall motorcycle with a seat height of 820 mm and features a standard ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) which can be shut down on demand. The Speed-star, F650 GS, is linked with 16 L fuel tank and delivers a decent fuel efficiency of 20 km per liter. The 235 Kgs BMW F650 GS is not a light weight machine, but it is best suitable for adventurous ride and for bad roads.
