BMW is going through one of its peak times and there are indications that the year 2012 may turn out to be a golden year of the BMW Motorrard history. After receiving tremendous support from the buyers in this year, the company recently informed that the BMW R1200 GS has topped the sales records in the UK market in the first 3 months of the year 2012. As far as the exact figures are concerned, BMW Mottorad has recorded a sale of 293 BMW R1200 GS and around 240 BMW R1200 GSAdventure motorbikes. Thus, the company has achieved a growth of 38.6 % in the adventure motorbike segment within the first 3 months of the year in the UK market. As stated by Mr. Adria Roderick, GM of BMW Mottorad, UK, the Q1 in this year has been very good for the company as wel as for motorbikes on a whole.

Registration for new BMW motorbikes has grown by 3.6 % and for BMW Motorrad it has increased by a whopping 6.1 %. The phenomenol success of the BMW R1200 GS and the GSAdventure versions has proven the fact that the GS brand is very popular among the buyers right from the time when the first ever adventure sports motorcycle was introduced in 1980 till now after the company has introduced various models with different type and capacities. He further informed that within the touring segment almost half of the bikes sold are from BMW. Even the upgraded S 1000 RR supersports bike has achieved better results in terms of sales. These facts indicate that the demand for BMW Motorrad is constantly increasing amongst the UK motorbike enthusiasts. Thus chances are very strong that in 2012, BMW Motorrad might break all its earlier records of sales in UK's market.
