Almost all the major manufacturers like Yamaha, Suzuki, Triumph and others are launching special editions and updated models to welcome the new year of competition. Now, BMW Motorrad introduced a special edition of its R1200R roadster, named 'DarkWhite', which further increases the competition level.
BMW R1200R DarkWhite received some cosmetic changes, which differs it from the standard version. The specifications of the vehicle remains the same. The cosmetic changes are a new paint scheme and some additional accessories. The new paint scheme gives a Pearl White paint job to the fuel tank, cowls, fairings, front mudguard and rear shock spring. Engine, drivetrain, wheels, swingarm, rear axle housing and front forks gets a black theme, while the frame and engine cover is painted asphalt grey. Other changes are sporty seat design and wind-shield.

A constant mesh 6 speed gearbox with helical gear teeth helps to balance the power and speed, which goes over 200kmph. The bike continues to use its unique shaft type final drive system. For safety braking in high speed, its 320mm dual front and 265mm single rear disk brakes works along with ABS. The BMW R1200R DarkWhite will be available in German dealerships from 1st of October 2013 at a price of €13,000.
