Both bikes get new colour schemes and a price increase
BMW Motorrad has launched the 2022 BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS in India at Rs 2,70,000 and Rs 3,10,000 (both prices ex-showroom India), respectively. Both bikes now command a premium of Rs 5,000 over their previous versions and come with new colour options.
The BMW G 310 R retains the muscular body design with sharp styling elements as before. The updated model gets a new, almost all-red, colour scheme called ‘Passion Racing Red’. It comes dipped in red with white graphics, paired with alloy wheels and frame coloured in Racing Red as well.
The slightly updated and renamed ‘Sport’ colour variant sports a colourway that comprises red, blue and white shades, highlighting the Bavarian bikemakers' signature shades. The streetfighter is also available in the previously existing all-black option, which has now been renamed ‘Triple Black’.
The BMW G 310 GS, too, gets the ‘Sport’ colour variant (new for the G 310 GS) with the brand's signature colours painted all over the ADV. Apart from that, the adventure motorcycle gets an all-new Rally colour variant, which features black, gold metallic and red colours, giving it a stealthy, yet bold appeal. Similar to its naked sibling, the ADV is also available in a previously existing all-black option which is now called Cosmic Black 3.

Apart from the cosmetic updates, both bikes remain completely unchanged. They are powered by the same 313cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 34PS and 28Nm. The motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
Notable features on the BMW G 310 twins include dual channel ABS, ride-by-wire, all-LED lighting and adjustable brake and clutch levers. The bikes also feature an LCD digital instrument cluster and a USB charging socket (optional).
While the G 310 R rivals the likes of the KTM 390 Duke and Honda CB300R, the G 310 GS goes up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan, Yezdi Adventure and KTM 390 Adventure. Bookings for both baby beemers are now officially open.
