Gets new LED headlight, ABS modes and anew Pro variant
Hero has increased the mercury this week even further by launching the updated XPulse 200 4V with a bunch of new upgrades and an all new Pro variant.
Price
The standard updated variant is now priced at Rs 1,43,516, which is Rs 4,750 more than the outgoing model. The Pro variant, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 1,50,891, a whopping Rs 7,375 more than the standard one. All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
Styling Updates
While the overall design and styling of the XPulse 200 stay the same, true to the dual sport nature of the bike, there are a few updates. First up, the LED headlight has been revised and now features LED DRLs that make an ‘H’ symbol and more importantly, LED projector lamps. Interestingly, you can also ride the bike with just the DRLs on, instead of the entire headlight unit. Apart from that, the visor is now 60mm taller and should provide better wind buffeting. The USB charging socket is now located closer to the console, and the switchgear has also been revised. Even the knuckle guards are different, and the new ones are dual tone closed loop units, for better protection. Hero says that the riding posture has been slightly updated as well, as the footpegs are now 35mm lower and 8mm rear set.
ABS Modes
A major update on the bike is the ABS ride modes, and mind you, the bike still comes equipped with single-channel ABS. While the Road mode retains the complete single-channel ABS intervention, the Off-road mode reduces the ABS intervention for gravel and sandy terrains. And at last, the Rally mode likely cuts off the ABS intervention altogether.
Engine
Powering the XPulse 200 4V is the same potent 199.6cc 4-valve air and oil-cooled engine that makes 19.1PS at 8000rpm (500rpm less) and 17.35Nm at 6500rpm. However, the motor is now BS6.2 emission norms compliant and comes equipped with OBD-2 and is E20 fuel compatible.
Pro Variant
The spiciest bit of the latest XPulse 200 4V is the all-new Pro variant which was earlier launched as the limited Rally Edition variant. It is more hardcore, premium and features a fully adjustable front fork with 250mm travel and a fully adjustable rear monoshock with 220mm wheel travel. For a taller handlebar and a more upright posture, the Pro variant gets handlebar risers. Additionally, It gets a humongous seat height of 850mm and a massive ground clearance of 270mm. However, the seat height is still less than the 910 or so mm of seat height on the Rally Kit for the XPulse 200 4V. Just for perspective, Royal Enfield Himalayan gets an 800mm seat height and 220mm of ground clearance. The Pro variant comes with a special red livery.
With the new updates and the Pro variant, the Hero XPusle 200 4V has gotten more wholesome and greener than before, increasing the value for money quotient of the bike.
