Hero has launched the new Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition in India. The motorcycle shares the same components as the Xpulse 200 4V Pro but gets a brand new paint scheme that is inspired from the Dakar Rally.
What’s new?
The Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is based upon the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Pro but gets a new Dakar-inspired paint scheme. The fuel tank gets a Dakar rally logo on either side along with some sporty black and red graphics on the lower half of the tank and side panels.
What’s unchanged?
The motorcycle shares its mechanicals with the Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro, it is powered by a 199.6cc single-cylinder, air & oil-cooled engine which makes 19.1PS at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The underpinnings include a fully adjustable telescopic fork at the front, with250mm of wheel travel and, a preload adjustable monoshock with 250mm of wheel travel. The motorcycle has a tall seat height of 891mm and a massive ground clearance of 270mm. The bike weighs in at 161kg kerb.
In terms of features, the motorcycle gets the same LCD instrument cluster which along with the basic information allows you to choose from three ABS modes: Road, Off-road and Rally. The bike gets LED lights all-round, a tall windscreen, knuckle guards, USB charging port and luggage plate for added convenience.
Price and Rivals
The Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is priced at Rs 1,67,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is now the top variant in the Xpulse 200 4V lineup. There are no natural rivals for the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition but you can get other premium options in the adventure segment such as the Suzuki V-Strom SX, KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
