Comes in multiple variants, including an H-Smart offering
Honda has launched the 2023 Activa 125 at a starting price of Rs 78,920 for the base drum variant, going all the way to Rs 88,093 for the top H-Smart variant (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). The updated model now complies with the OBD2 emission norms, set to kick in on April 1. It is available in four variants: drum, drum alloy, disc and H-Smart, and can be had in five colours.
All variants of the new Activa 125 now get a small apron-mounted storage for small knick-knacks. The shape of the underseat storage has also been redesigned.
The big change, though, is the new Activa 125 H-Smart variant which, like its smaller sibling the Activa 6G, gets a key fob (instead of a physical key) which offers remote locator, proximity unlock, and one-touch ignition.
The 2023 Honda Activa 125 continues with the same 124cc air-cooled engine, with a miniscule bump in performance, as power and torque are now 8.3PS and 10.4Nm, up from 8.29PS and 10.3Nm, respectively. As mentioned, it adheres to the OBD-2 tech to comply in real-time with the updated emissions norms. The new low-friction tubeless tyres may help eke out better fuel efficiency figures, and the three-step adjustable rear suspension might make the overall ride quality a bit more comfortable.
The Activa 125, being a family-scooter offering, goes up against offerings like the TVS Jupiter 125, Suzuki Access 125, Hero Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125, and Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid.
