The bike was spotted testing in India in July
BSA has revealed on its social media handle about its plans of launching the Gold Star, the company’s latest 650cc retro bike globally. The company says it is currently focussing on the UK and European markets, and that more information will be announced soon. More importantly, BSA also stated that the “worldwide rollout will come from 2023 onwards.”
If you’re wondering when the motorcycle could be launched here in India, you’d be glad to know that the retro bike was already spotted testing in the country in July this year. Though it looked fairly production ready, expect it to hit the showrooms only around March 2023, which would be in line with the company’s global launch plans.
The BSA Gold Star is priced in the UK from GBP 6,800 (around Rs 6.23 lakh). But since it has been engineered in the UK and manufactured in India, expect the bike to be a lot more affordable here. It could cost around Rs 2.9 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it right around the same ballpark as its primary rival, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Another more premium rival would be the Kawasaki Z650RS.
