Entries Open For TVS Ladies One Make Championship

• Banglore round will be conducted on February 9
• Mumbai round will take place on February 23
• Fifteen riders from each city will be selected for the final round at MMRT, Chennai

TVS has been one of the few manufacturers that has been actively promoting motorsports in India, be it the Dakar Rally or the One Make Championship. The Hosur-based manufacturer has now announced the third edition of its Women’s One Make Championship series in a bid to encourage more women to hit the racetrack. TVS will be conducting selection rounds for the aspiring participants in Bengaluru and Mumbai on February 9 and 23, respectively.

A total of 15 riders from each city will be selected for the final round, which will be held on May 4 at MMRT, Chennai. Post this, selected riders will undergo training for physical fitness and rider skills from TVS Racing’s top riders before participating in the National Motorcycle Racing Championship in June 2019. Here, the riders will compete in five rounds over the course of the season astride race-tuned TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0

Here’s everything you need to know before the selection round: every rider must report at 8am at the venue with an entry fee of Rs 1,000. Each rider must carry her driver’s license as well as a DOT or ECE certified full face helmet with visor and Double D ring strap. TVS will provide full racing suits on a first come, first serve basis.

The selection panel will consist of seasoned racers like Aishwarya Pissay, K.Y Ahmad, K. Jagan Kumar and Harry Sylvester. 

Bangalore Venue - (9 February, 2019) Meco Kartopia, Hennur.

Mumbai Venue - (23 February, 2019) Island Sports Gokart Track, Wadala.
