The bike could be launched as early as July
The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been spotted on test runs yet again. This time around, we’ve noticed a few new aspects of the upcoming 150cc bike. For starters, the motorcycle gets the same semi-digital instrument cluster as the Bajaj Pulsar F250 and the Bajaj Pulsar N250.
The split seat setup is visible now, and it looks similar to the Pulsar 250 twins, and it gets sleek- looking split pillion grab rails as well. You could also notice an all-new alloy wheel design that comes with much slimmer spokes. Expect the same alloys to be employed on all the other next-generation Pulsars. While the front disc looks similar to the one on the Pulsar 250, it is likely to be a smaller 280mm unit as opposed to the quarter-litre Pulsars’ 300mm disc. Expect the rear disc to be a smaller unit as well. The bike gets a projector headlight with the trademark Pulsar cowling along with LED ‘Wolf Eye’ DRLs. On the other hand, the LED tail light design looks similar to the one on the Pulsar 250 twins.
Powering the motorcycle will be a new 150cc single-cylinder air-cooled mill, derived (albeit heavily reworked) from the Pulsar 250’s powerplant. This would be just like how Bajaj used one engine platform and offered the top-end Bajaj Pulsar 220 F with an oil cooler whereas the other smaller capacity Pulsars featured engines sans an oil cooler. Expect the new engine to make more or less the same power and torque as the current model. That’s because at 14PS and 13.25Nm, the output figures are already segment-leading. Having said that, Bajaj might make improvements in the engine’s refinement. It also gets a kick start lever, something that's not usually seen on bikes these days.
