According to our sources, Royal Enfield is likely to launch the new BS6-compliant Classic 350 in India on January 7. The upcoming Classic 350 could be around Rs 12,000 to Rs 14,000 more expensive than the BS4 model, which retails at Rs 1.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Moreover, select dealerships across the country have already started accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs 10,000.

Apart from some minute changes to the engine and the exhaust, the motorcycle remains the same as its predecessor. Yes, there’s no change in the design and it doesn’t get new features either. However, we expect Royal Enfield to offer some new paint options.
The 2020 Classic 350 is powered by a fuel-injected 346cc motor. Now, we haven’t received the spec sheet of the BS6-compliant variant, but we can expect a minor difference in terms of power. In its current state, this powerplant churns out 20PS and 28Nm. Furthermore, the bike maker is now offering alloy wheels as standard.

But what about the all-new Classic 350 that was spotted a few months back? Well, we believe Royal Enfield could introduce new models, which could be sold alongside the BS6-compliant motorcycles. Moreover, Royal Enfield had recently trademarked two names - ‘Hunter’ and ‘Sherpa’ - which we think could be the name of the upcoming Royal Enfields.
