The locally-made luggage system is likely to be launched in 3-4 months
- KTM plans to make the luggage system in India as the official PowerPart ones made abroad and have to be imported, making them expensive here.
- KTM is likely to partner with local accessory manufacturers ViaTerra, Rynox, Autologue Designs and the likes.
- Expect them to be competitively priced.
The KTM 390 Adventure will be receiving made-in-India luggage system that is likely to be launched in 3-4 months from now. This only makes sense as the official KTM PowerParts are manufactured abroad and have to be imported, making them expensive in India.
Unlike Royal Enfield, KTM does not have the means to manufacture luggage at the moment, so it is likely to team up with local accessory makers ViaTerra, Rynox, Autologue Designs and the likes. These brands are already experienced in manufacturing tailor-made accessories for KTM’s Duke and RC lineup. Expect the Austrian bikemaker to offer panniers, saddle stays and tail rack.

As KTM is known for its value-for-money offerings, we can expect the luggage systems to be competitively priced. As for the saddlebags, the hard-case ones will be expensive to manufacture and sell, so it would be ideal if KTM offers soft panniers. These accessories will take the touring capability of the motorcycle to the next level. Since these will be official accessories, KTM is likely to offer them at its authorised dealerships with a warranty. Get more details about the ADV here.
