The emerging two wheeler manufacturer in India, Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL), has updated the solo 110cc commuter in its portfolio- Hayate. The bike receives both the cosmetic as well as technical changes.
The new Suzuki Hayate gets new colors along with new graphic style including two dual tone paint job options. The new colors available with the bike are- Glass Sparkle Black with Red and Blue graphic options, Pearl Mirage White and Pearl Moon Grey, while Metallic Lush Green and Pearl Mira Red are available with dual tone Glass Sparkle Black from rear.
Suzuki has also updated the engine technology used in Hayate and claims to return 10% more mileage now. Fuel economy is the most anticipated factor in the success of a commuter, hence this step seems to deliver a positive effect on the sales figures of the bike.
New Suzuki Hayate sports the same 112.8cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, single cylinder, SOHC engine mated with a 4-speed gearbox. The engine churns out a maximum power of 8.3bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.8Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The company has not make any increament in the price of the bike, even it is availabe at a reduced price due to excise duty reduction now.
