And the company will also introduce a portable fast charger to make life easier
Ultraviolette, like all other automotive companies, was hit hard due to the pandemic. Things, however, seem to be coming back on track, and the company has been working on improving the F77 for a few months now.
In the latest revelation, the officials of Ultraviolette have claimed the final production variant of the F77 will boast a real-world range of 200km. Yes, 200km!

Compared to the previous claims of 140km of range, this is a big step up. And this would also make the F77 the electric motorcycle with the highest range in India, considering the Tork Kratos only boasts 120km of range. The added range will be a big plus for the F77, considering it’s aimed at enthusiasts.
The improved range has been achieved with a new battery tech, and we’ll have to see how it affects the weight and downtime of the bike. Speaking of downtime, we were told the F77’s battery can be fully charged overnight via the supplied standard charger.
Though the downtime is long, Ultraviolette will counter it with a portable fast charger, claimed to fully charge the bike in nearly two hours, which is more than just impressive.
To jog your memory, the Ultraviolette F77 was first unveiled in 2019. The deliveries were supposed to commence in late 2020, but everything came to a halt due to the pandemic. Now, the company is looking to launch the motorcycle soon, probably towards mid 2022.
The bike is expected to be priced at around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). With FAME-II and state subsidies in place, though, this price will come down substantially. For more details about the F77’s availability and service strategy, check out our exclusive story.
We have already ridden the pre-production model of the F77 and it was quite impressive. Read our review here.
