Gixxer Cup finale: MotoGP Legend Kevin Schwantz coming to India

Legendary MotoGP rider Kevin Schwantz is all set to land on Indian soil for the finale of Suzuki Gixxer Cup, which will be held on 26th September 2015 at BIC (Buddh International Circuit). For the ones who do not know him, he is one of the 20 riders in the world, who have earned the status of MotoGP legend.

This year Suzuki Motorcycle India had launched fully faired Gixxer SF in the country and also organized their very first one make race called Suzuki Gixxer Cup with their race modified models. MotoGP Legend Kevin Schwantz has promised to be there on BIC during the final round of Gixxer Cup.

According to the Executive Vice President of SMIPL (Suzuki Motors India Pvt Ltd), Atul Gupta, “We are extremely excited to announce about our next and final round for the 2015 season at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida”. He also stated, “Not only does this bring the races and excitement to northern India, we will also have the presence of legendary racing icon Kevin Schwantz, the 500cc Grand Prix World Champion of 1993 and a die-hard Team Suzuki rider for decades”.

Kevin Schwantz is a true legend in the racing world, hence, he was inducted into AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999 and also named Grand Prix “Legend” by FIM (Federation of International Motorcycling) in the year 2000.
