The ride will consist of three group of riders starting from various parts of the country with Dras in Kargil being the final destination
Hero MotoCorp has partnered with the Indian Army to celebrate the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July, 2024. To commemorate 25 years of victory in the 1999 Kargil War, men and women of the Indian Army will embark on a ride from different parts of the country on Hero bikes and reach Dras in Kargil, Ladakh before July 26 to honour the soldiers who fought in the war.
One group of riders will start from Dinjan in Assam, Dwarka in Gujarat and Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu each, and meet in Delhi. From there, the group will ride together towards Dras, covering a total of over 7,500km in the process. The group of riders will be riding the Hero XPulse 200 4V and the Hero Mavrick 440.
The Mavrick 440’s air-/oil-cooled 440cc, single-cylinder engine producing 27.3PS and 36Nm is refined, torquey and can do 100kmph in 6th gear very comfortably. The upright ergonomics and the comfortable suspension setup provide a very comfortable riding experience, making it very apt for cruising on the highway during the ride for Kargil Vijay Diwas. The Hero XPulse 200 4V, being an ADV, can handle highway cruising as well but will be even more effective for when the group hits rough terrain.
