The price hike will come into effect immediately
- Hero has announced a hike of 1 per cent on ex-showroom prices of its scooters and motorcycles.
- The exact quantum of the price increase will vary, as per the model and the market.
- The Hero Destini, for instance, will get a price hike of around Rs 500.
- Similarly, the Hero XTreme 200S will now be almost Rs 1,000 more expensive.
Hero MotoCorp has hiked the price of its entire portfolio by 1 per cent. This includes both its motorcycle and scooter range. The price hike will be applied with immediate effect. For example, the Hero Destini 125 which used to retail for Rs 55,080, will now be priced at Rs 55,631 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi), a premium of Rs 580. Even the recently launched Hero Pleasure+ and the Maestro Edge 125 have been affected by the price hike.

The company says that the exact quantum of the increase will vary as per the model and the market since the hike is applicable on the ex-showroom price. While Hero hasn’t specified the reason behind the price increase, we suspect this is due to an increase in commodity and raw material costs.
