Hero’s entire lineup will witness a bump in prices in April

Hero MotoCorp has announced it will increase the prices of its two-wheeler range from April 1, 2021. Hero says the prices will have to be increased “to partially offset the impact of increased commodity costs.” So this will affect all of Hero’s lineup, including the Splendor, HF Deluxe, Passion Pro, and premium offerings like the Xtreme 160R, XPulse 200 and the likes.

That said, Hero MotoCorp assures us that it has sped up its cost savings programme so that the impact on the end consumer is minimal. The company also says that the upper limit to the premium will be Rs 2,500, which isn’t really substantial enough to make an impact on your purchasing decision. The exact amount will vary depending on the model, but expect the more affordable 100-125cc commuter bikes to witness a relatively lower price hike than the 160cc and 200cc range.

This price hike announcement isn’t exactly new as Hero MotoCorp does this every financial year, in addition to price revisions over the course of a few months. Hero had just increased the prices of its lineup back in January this year. Take a look at the prices of all the models here:
