Hero To Buy Honda's 26 Percent At Dollor 851 Mn

Hero Honda, the worlds largest two wheeler manufacturer company which is 26 year old joint venture between India based Hero Group and Japan based Honda Motors. This Joint ventures has been separated between Hero and Honda. And Hero is going to buy Honda's 26 per cent stake in the JV. Hero will pay dollar 851 million for Honda's 26 per cent stake. Hero Investment said in a statement.

Hero Honda is a reliable and popular two wheeler provider company name in the Indian market that having 100cc to 233cc engine segment bikes and scooters as well. Hero Honda Honda CD Dawn is the entry level bike from Hero Honda's stable while Hero Honda Karizma is the high-end model. Hero Honda Splendor and Hero Honda Passion are the most popular bikes in India while Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme and Hero Honda Hunk is the first choice of Indian youths.

With the sales of above 4.50 lakhs units of the bikes it is seating on the top of the Indian two wheeler market. But after split this venture its another competitor Bajaj Auto, TVS, Honda and Yamaha are in competition to get the number one position.

Now Hero which is dominated by Munjal family, will set up self bike manufacturing plant and targeted to captures Indian, Latin American and African markets. The company is interested to bring Electric bikes in India and some of innovative petrol bikes with in upcoming few years.

On the other hand HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) which is the 100 per cent subsidiary of Japan based Honda Motors already doing well in the market. HMSI wants to be number one two wheeler provider in India and launched lots of bike in 110cc to 1000cc engine segment. Honda Twister, Honda Shine, Honda Unicorn and Honda Dazzler are the flagship bike models from its commuter segment.  Although Honda CBR 1000RR is the top end model by the company.

Now Honda is going to launch its 250cc bike Honda CBR 250R which is an answer to Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Bajaj Pulsar 220 and Hero Honda Karizma. The company is increasing its wings day by day and made announced about the launch of two new bikes every year.
