HMIC to unveil two bikes next fiscal

Two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), two-wheeler maker announced that it may unveil two new bikes in the country to constantly strengthen its line-up during the next fiscal as it intends to hit sales point of 15 lakh units in 2010-11. However, the company has not come up with any details regarding the specification of the new bikes and their expected price range. HMIC is targeting to sell 15 lakh units during the next fiscal, including 8 lakh units of scooters and 7 lakh units of motorcycles. However the company has no plans to launch any new scooters in the near future. HMSI is the biggest player in the scooter segment in the country with a share of over 50 per cent. The company also intend to sell at least 2.2 lakh units of CBZ Twister a 110 cc bike during the next fiscal which will improve company’s share in the motorcycle market.
