India's one of the largest two wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is facing a high supply demand gap as the order backlog of the company has reached 1.4 lakh units. According to the news reports the main reason of this much order backlog is go slow of workers of the company. Though the company is claiming that as its Manesar plant become operational the order backlog will comedown again. “Early this morning, we started operating the new assembly line, which is the third one in our plant. To begin with, the third line would have a daily production of 300-400 units and we hope to take it to 1,000 units daily after some weeks,” as Shinji Aoyama the President and CEO of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India told reporters here. “We hope to reach full normalcy in production within next 2-3 days but the current backlog is about 1.4 lakh units with a waiting time of a little over a month,” Aayoma said. Company has stopped taking orders of some of its models as the order backlog is increasing rapidly. According to reports due to go slow tactics of the workers of the company's plant made company to face a production loss of 300 crore which is for 75000 two wheelers.
