Honda Activa Remains Unbeaten For The First Half Of 2019

Honda sold 1.4 million units of the Active from April to September 2019!

Two-wheeler manufacturers like Honda have managed to hold onto a sliver of hope amidst the current slowdown in the two-wheeler market. This comes in the form of festive seasons offers which seems to have worked wonders for manufacturers. So much so that the scooter segment, which was on a downward spiral for the past couple of months, is picking up pace once again. And the Honda Activa remains at the top of its game and unbeaten in the first six months of the fiscal year 2019-20.

For a frame of reference, the Activa sold 1.4 million units (1,393,256) units in the April to September period alone. That’s five new customers riding home an Activa every five minutes according to the manufacturer. What also seems to have worked for the brand is the availability of the Limited Edition Activa 5G. The company also launched the Activa 125 BS6, which should step things up a notch in the 125cc scooter space. Honda says it has more than doubled its production capacity to meet the overwhelming demand from all regions.

In the first half of 2019-20, Honda 2Wheelers India’s iconic automatic scooter Activa continues to drive domestic two-wheeler demand. India’s No. 1 selling two-wheeler brand sales stood close to 1.4 million units (1,393,256 units) in the April to September 2019 period.

The Limited Edition Activa 5G created new excitement since start of its availability in June’19 with as many as 10 new premium style additions and 2 new striking dual-colour options. Honda has more than doubled its production plan to meet the overwhelming demand from all regions.
