Honda announces two new launches very soon

At its 13th Annual Business meeting in Tokyo, Japan, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has announced its ambitious business strategy for the FY 2014-15. The 13th business meet involved more than 900 business partners including distributors, dealers, transporters, stockiest and multiple Honda associates from India. Commencing from June 2014, Honda would start its new era in the Indian market. As an initiation, Honda has stated the launch of two new two-wheeler models in the second half of FY 2014-15. The first launch will be an extension in the Dream model series, which is in fact doing very well in the Indian market. The next will be a 160cc motorcycle featuring style and sporty appeal for the youth buyers of the country.
Assuring this commitment, Takanobu Ito, President, CEO & Representative Director, Honda Motor Company, said “I thank our business partners from India for their unwavering commitment to Honda & it gives me a sense of Pride & satisfaction on the fantastic relationship you have build with customers. The annual meet was graced by 6 top board members of Honda Motor Company, Japan, supporting developing India as key global two wheeler sales hub for Honda.
HMSI recently posted its best ever year of sales. Now the Japanese giant wants to further raise the bar for the Indian motorcycle industry by addition of new models. Even at the Auto Expo 2014, Honda witnessed a lot of support from Indian consumers for their brilliant products. Keita Muramatsu, President CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, announced “Sustaining its superior growth, HMSI has set the challenging target of 45 lack unit sales in FY’2014-15. I am confident that propelled by 3 new launches including the Activa 125 and aggressive network expansion, Honda will meet expectations of its valued customers in India.”
HMSI will be adding 1000 outlets to its existing network across India to provide more touch-points for its customers. Explaining this development, Y. S Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMSI, stated “Reaching closer to customer is a priority. Moving full throttle with scorching pace, Honda will add 1000 new touch-points to its network. This translates to adding a phenomenal 3 outlets each day and is significant as with this expansion, Honda will double its network in just 2 years from 1950 outlets in FY’2012-13 to 3800 outlets by end of FY’2014-15.”
