Honda CB Hornet 160R all set to be launched in December first week

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recently launched its 125cc ‘mystery bike’ which is known as Honda CB Shine SP in India. Now, the company is all set to introduce its much-anticipated bike named as Honda CB Hornet 160R, which was first showcased at the 2015 Honda ReVFest in August this year. Booking for the same is already open and the booking amount is Rs 5,000. The bike will replace the slow-selling Honda CB Trigger and it will lock horns with Yamaha FZ-S FI (Version 2.0), Suzuki Gixxer and Hero Xtreme Sports.

Honda CB Hornet 160R is expected to be propelled by the same 162.7cc, air-cooled, a single-cylinder engine equipped with Honda Eco Technology (HET) that powers the Honda CB Unicorn 160. The mill is tuned to churn out 14.5 bhp of power and 14.61 Nm of torque.

The design of Honda CB Hornet 160R is inspired from the CX-01 concept bike, that was revealed at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. It will feature high-mounted handlebar, multi-spoke alloy wheels with a black coat, single piece seat, dual-tone front mudguard, X-shaped LED tail-lamps, a disc brake on the front as standard, optional rear disc brake, along with optional CBS (Combi-Brake System), a fully digital instrument console and a short & stout silencer.
