Tomorrow is a day when the grandest motorcycle extravaganza – Honda Revfest will take place in 8 Indian cities simultaneously. Honda is about to ‘Unleash the Power’ with the revealing of multiple new motorcycles in the event. Besides Honda CBR650F, the other motorcycle reported to be a part of the show is CB Hornet 160R, which was apparent due to a technical fault at the http://www.hondarevfest.com/ that accidentally leaked the information of the bikes to be showcased at the event.
Honda CB Hornet is an international range that comprises of 250cc, 600cc and 900cc products and to make it compatible with the Indian market, it has been added with lowest displacement capacity engine. The engine of the new entrant is expected to be the one seen on CB Unicorn 160, which is a 162.71cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SI engine with 5-speed gearbox. The suffix ‘R’ increases the chances of change in the power and torque output of the engine.
Honda CB Hornet 160R has a smart headlight unit with a small visor, muscular fuel tank, traditional handlebars, Honda’s 3D emblem and logo, which makes it pretty robust. The bike is expected to boost the sales of the company in premium 150cc to 180cc segment that holds a healthy share in the market. Also, Honda CB Trigger, which has lost its traction over the market, seems to get replaced by the Hornet.
