Honda CB300F after so many speculations and buzz has finally got the affirmation of production. It has also got the approval of California Air Research Board for the emission regulations. Along with CB300F, the certification documents also read the names of CBR300R and CBR300RA (ABS equipped version). The three machines were sent to California Air Research Board for testing that concludes that the bikes are on the final stage of production.

Honda CB300F sports a furious street-fighter look inspired from its elder sibling CB500F. The headlamps and fine fairing of the bike are designed on the lines of CB500F. Moreover, mudguards, seats, exhaust and tail cowl are taken from its other sibling, CB250R. The handlebars are kept a bit upwards for more comfortable ride along with the rear-set foot pegs.

Honda has used the 286cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the CBR300R, which is a tweaked version of 249cc motor empowering the CBR250R. Currently, the 286cc mill is able to churn out a maximum power of 30.4bhp at 8500rpm with a peak toque of 27Nm at 7250rpm. But an alteration is considered with the mill that takes the performance of the machine to the next level. The motor is connected to the six-speed transmission. Anti-lock brake system is expected to bless the Disc brake system of the bike.

After the machine sets its roots in the market, Honda will roll out CB300R in Q1 of 2015 to boost its sales. It will fight to acquire the market share of Suzuki Inazuma and upcoming monster Kawasaki Z250.
