It is offered in two colours and gets Honda’s traction control system as standard. The price of the bike is insane and that of its rivals is crazier
Honda has launched the Honda CB350RS in Malaysia at a price of 20,500 ringgit ex-showroom, which comes to around Rs 3.62 lakh. The bike is offered in 2 colours: Atlantic Blue and Mat Massive Metallic Grey. Here’s everything you need to know:
The Honda CB350RS features a neo-retro design, with its round LED headlight and teardrop shaped tank. The bike distinguishes itself from its more retro sibling, the Honda CB350 H’ness with the blacked-out exhaust and skips on the metal fender with a sleeker rear section and a high rise fender with the number plate integrated into it.
With its ex-showroom price of 20,500 ringgit, the CB350RS is much more affordable than its rivals like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the Triumph Speed 400.
The Hunter 350 for perspective sells at 22,200 ringgit (ex-showroom) which is around Rs 3.92 lakh, whereas the Triumph Speed 400 costs a whooping 26,900 ringgit (ex-showroom) or Rs 4.75 lakh.
In India, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is the most affordable out of the 3, coming at a starting price of Rs 1,49,900 for the Retro spoke wheel variant. Whereas the Honda CB350RS DLX variant starts at Rs 2,14,856 and the Triumph Speed 400 costs Rs 2,34,497 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The Malaysia spec CB350RS is similar to the base DLX variant that is available here. It is powered by a 348.36cc single-cylinder engine which produces 21PS and 30Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and features a slip-and-assist clutch. In terms of features, the CB350RS gets Honda’s traction control system or Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).
