Honda CBR 250R bookings to start from February 2011

The bookings for Honda CBR 250R will start from February Ist, 2011, as per latest update in media. The bike will be available in two variants like Honda CBR 250R ABS and Honda CBR 250R standard. Pricing for the both bikes will be different like Non-ABS variant of the bike will available with price tag of Rs. 1.5 lakh and ABS will come at Rs. 1.8 lakh.

Honda Scooters and Motorcycles India which is the India's number fourth two wheeler maker will enter in the entry-level sports bikes segment. The company wants to grab most of the Indian two wheeler market share which remains open after the split of Hero and Honda. The company has a big series of superbikes in India but this is new and different than others.

The coming Honda CBR 250R is the new product of the bike and it is being sold in international market but this will be the first entry in India. The bike might be available almost half price of the Kawasaki Ninja 250R which is the most popular bike in the entry-level sports segment which has price tag of Rs. 2.69 lakh (ex-show room Delhi).

The non ABS and ABS version of the Honda CBR 250R would come loaded with innovative features and eye-catchy look; Appearance of the bike is same as Honda VFR 1200R, which is the Honda's flagship model in supersports bike segment.

The Honda CBR 250R is loaded with Single cylinder, 4-stroke, Inline, DOHC engine while displacement of the is 250cc. This powerful engine of the bike might provide peak power of 26bhp@8500rpm and belt out top torque of 23nm@7000rpm. Overall, the bike might create hype in Indian wheeler market.
