Honda CBR 250R launched in Kolkata

Great News for all the bike fanatics! Today Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launches its very first super cool 250cc sports bike, Honda CBR 250R in Kolkata, India. This bike is expected to boost up the sales by around 20-25% regardless of jagged amplification in the interest rates.

According to the Sales head of Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India, N K Rattan, the company has managed to sell approximately 16.85 Lakh units in the financial year of 2011 with the expected turnover of around Rs. 7,500 Crore in 2011. With the ever enhancing demand for the Honda bikes, this well- established firm’s 2nd plant located in Rajasthan, will commence the manufacturing of the bikes during the 2nd half period of 2011.

The Honda plant in Rajasthan keeps the capacity of manufacturing around 6 Lakh units per annum in just the initial phase.  There has been a whopping investment of Rs 500 Crore in the Rajasthan Plant up till now. The price of Honda CBR 250 R will range from Rs. 1.46 Lakh to Rs. 1.71 Lakh.  According to N K Rattan, the company has an aim of selling about 30,000 units solely in India along with exporting around 10,000 units.

Bikes in India are picking up the pace at a supersonic speed. People are now getting much inclined towards sports bikes, which include Kawasaki Ninja 250R. Keeping this thing in mind, Honda has launched its CBR 250R, which could be considered as a total sports bike. It is loaded with numerous features, such as liquid cooled 4 valve engine, an outdoor fuel filter that will facilitate trouble-free maintenance resulting in amplifying the capacity of the tank. The rear and front disc brakes assures a safe ride and the perfect placement of the handle that would make it flawless during the sporty riding.
