Honda Motorcycle recently unveiled their new entry level performance bike, CBR300R at China International Motor Trade Exhibition (CIMA) in Chongqing, China. The bike might replace the existing CBR250R like Kawasaki's Ninja 300 took the place of Ninja 250. Earlier, we have only pictures of the bike. However, now we have the detailed specifications of the bike. CBR300R is based on its sibling CBR250R, but it differs in looks as the the front cowl and exhaust pipe are taken from CBR500R.
Cowling of the Honda CBR300R is exactly similar to its elder sibling CBR500R, which is inspired from the company's full size racing machine CBR1000RR (FireBlade). The bike uses a 286cc, single cylinder engine featuring 4-valves with dual overhead camshaft. The bike churns out a maximum power of 30.44bhp at 8,500rpm, which is 4.44bhp higher than the CBR250. Value of the peak torque is 27Nm, which can be achieved at 7,250rpm. Although, power of the bike has been increased, still it is much lesser than its rival Ninja 300, which delivers 39bhp power and 27.1Nm torque. However, the company will launch the bike at a price comparatively lesser than the entry level Ninja. The bike will be available in three different colours- Black, Pearl White/Blue/Red, Red, and the company might also launch a variant in Repsol paint job.
