Honda CRF250L Dual Sport Ready for Launch

Honda's two wheeler department recently declared that the company is planning to roll out the all new Honda CRF250L off-road motorbike in the international market this year itself. In a recent report, the company declared that the Honda CRF250L Dual Sport on-road and off-road versions wii be initially launched in the two-wheeler market of Japan on the 14th of May. The bike will be up for sale from that day itself. Later in the month of July, the bike will be launched in the Canadian two-wheeler market. Having said that, there is still no confirmation from the company about the bike's launch in the Indian market. However, rumours are strong that it will be introduced in the Indian market most likely in the year 2013. The Honda bike is going to be launched with a catchy tagline to attract more and more buyers.
As far as the specifications of the bike are concerned, Honda has provided it with the identical 249.6 cc, liquid cooled, one cylinder engine that was used in the Honda CBR250R. Although the torque and the power generated are slightly different. The impressive 250 cc engine generates a maximum power of 23 PS at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 22 nm at 7000 rpm. Fuel is delivered to the bike through the company's programmed fuel injection mechanism. The 250 cc unit is mated to a six speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike has 3.00-21 51P tires in the front and 120/80-18M/C 62P at the back. Further in the front portion, the bike has inverted telescopic shockers and at the back it has a Swing arm pro-link suspension. The compamy has also claimed that the bike gives an impressive mileage of 44.3 km/L. The major competitor for the bike will be the Hero MotoCorp Impulse. The Honda CRF250L is estimated to be priced at somewhere around 1.3 lakhs.
